Vikings Fantasy League

Web / Mobile / UX UI Design

The Vikings Fantasy League was created in response to The History Channel’s desire to engage their predominately adult male fan base on social platforms in a more meaningful way. Our idea was to allow fans to create their ideal “team” of Vikings and then set up a competition within the show between characters, gods, weapons etc. Fans earned points from what their selected team did during each episode. They could also earn points by sharing their score to Facebook, by retweeting certain messages, taking quizzes within the game, answering wagers and more. There were over 4,000 sign ups within the first 48 hours, 18,884 page visits within the first week and a total of 11.5 million points earned throughout the season.
